Finance role at the Wordwell Group

THE WORDWELL GROUP, publisher of History Ireland and Archaeology Ireland magazines, Books Ireland online and Wordwell and Eastwood books, are looking to fill a finance role, offering an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and respected publishing house that has been at the heart of Ireland’s cultural and heritage sectors since 1987.

This finance role is a part-time Bookkeeping position (approx. 20 hours per week) and offers flexibility and work–life balance with hybrid and remote working options and the opportunity to shape your schedule to balance work with personal commitments.

Key responsibilities are Financial Record-keeping and Reporting, requiring experience in a bookkeeping role, proficiency in ac-counting software and a strong understanding of Irish tax regulations and accounting standards.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring correct coding of transactions.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, tracking invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational stability.
